Fairy fort in Cormoy, County Monaghan, is a grass-covered ringfort on a spur above Creevy Lough, marked by a thin earthen bank, a scarp, and a hedge beside a private lane. It has no visible entrance or fosse, but its shape remains clear enough to suggest people once drew a boundary around ordinary ground. The lake below and the lane above give the fort a lived-in setting, as if human hands and local memory still shape what the earth preserves.

Located on a NW-SE spur overlooking Creevy Lough, a small circular lake (diam. c. 220-227m) c. 160m to the WSW at the nearest point. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 42m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by a scarp (at E: Wth 1m; H 1.2m) with the remnant of an earthen bank (at W: Wth 2.m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.5m) and hedge SW-NW where it borders a N-S section of a private lane. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance.
