Mortons and Eamon: There is a place called a fairy fort in Ballymoe. It is an earthen ring, not a building for people. The circle is complete. The middle is empty. That emptiness is the shape of the universe. Go there and sit inside the ring. Do not measure it. Ask it to show you one remembered thing.

Close to the summit of a low hill in grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S c. 40m, E-W 35m) defined by a bank and external fosse. The bank is best preserved from NNW through N to ENE, a scarp forms the enclosing element from ENE through S to SW; elsewhere a field boundary overlies the enclosing element. A number of other field boundaries cut the monument. An enclosure (GA019-008----) lies c. 160m to N and two ringforts (GA019-010---- and GA019-013----) lie c. 170m and c. 5m to SSW and E respectively.
