Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Corbally (bunratty Upper By.)

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

No visible trace remains at Corbally, though local memory still shapes the hidden fort into a fairy strongbox. Forgetting has done what fire and plough could not: it has erased the wall, the gate and every person who ever lived inside. The region preserves its own myths by removing human evidence from them. What is missing is not a gap in the story; it is the story.
