Fairy fort in Coolcanadas is a raised circular area about thirty-two metres across, enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, deep, partly waterlogged fosse. Its original entrance faced southeast through a break in the bank with an accompanying causeway, though the outer part of that causeway has been destroyed by a modern field boundary. The fort stands as a rath in County Cavan, its shape and entrance still readable despite the loss of one edge.
