Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Coolbaun (Cooleagh parish) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Coolbaun (Cooleagh parish), County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a natural rise in undulating pasture and remains largely intact despite partial damage from 1950s land clearance. The site consists of a roughly circular area 49.7 metres north to south and 57.6 metres east to west, enclosed by a round-topped bank 2.15 to 2.5 metres wide and an external fosse 2.1 metres wide and 0.63 metres deep. The fosse is visible in all but the east-southeast quadrant, while the interior stays relatively clear of vegetation and the perimeter is overgrown with scrub and brambles.
On a natural rise surrounded by undulating pasture. Monument was partially damaged in the 1950s during land clearance work, which included cutting drains around the exterior, probably re-cutting the existing fosse. It is still largely intact and consists of a roughly circular area (diam. 49.7m N-S; 57.6m E-W) enclosed by a round-topped bank (Wth 2.15-2.5m; int. H 0.25-0.56m; ext. H 0.67-1.13m) and ext. fosse (Wth 2.1m; D 0.63m) visible in all but E-SE quadrant. The interior is relatively clear of vegetation, otherwise the perimeter is overgrown with scrub and brambles.
