Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cloonakilly Beg,cloonakilly More is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cloonakilly Beg,cloonakilly More, County Roscommon, Ireland. The D-shaped site measures 57 metres north-south and 27 metres east-west on a broad drumlin ridge. A north-south field bank bisects the overgrown area, hiding the western portion in pasture while revealing a five-to-six-metre fosse and outer bank to the south, west and north. No original entrance remains identifiable.
Marked only on the 1914 and 1927 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the crest of a broad E-W drumlin ridge. This is a D-shaped overgrown area (dims 57m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.7-1m) N-E-S, with a fosse (Wth of top 5m at E to 9m at N; ext. D 0.5m at N to 0.2m at E) N-E. It is bisected by a N-S field bank and townland boundary with Cloonakilly Beg and is not visible W of this feature in pasture, but the outline of a fosse feature (Wth c. 5-6m) and parts of an outer bank (Wth c. 5m) are visible on the digitalglobe image S-W-N (max. ext. diam. c. 85m N-S). There is no identifiable original entrance.
