Nobody knows when the clay lifted or why the fort appeared, but it still stands on the hill like a forgotten promise. The causeway is wide enough for a cart, the bank high enough to keep out rain and strangers, and the ditch deep enough to mark the edge of a life no longer spoken about. Clonrah and Glaster orbit it in story because the shape resists forgetting. A fort is only a circle until someone walks the causeway and admits the land can hold more than one kind of truth.

Situated on top of high ground overlooking low-lying flat land to the S. Large circular area (diam 40m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2-4m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 3.5m); wide flat bottomed fosse (Wth 2m; ext. D 1.7m) with slight evidence of an outer bank visible at N only. Well preserved causewayed entrance (Wth 2.7m) at E. Interior of ringfort is heavily overgrown making detailed examination impossible. There is evidence of stone revetment along the inner face of the inner bank most notable at the entrance.
