Located in a broad col with Vinegar Hill c. 900m to the WSW and a lower hill c. 750m to the ENE. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) defined by a single fosse feature that is truncated by an E-W field bank at N is visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BDJ 47) with an entrance gap at SW. Nothing is visible at ground level in a cereal crop. Archaeological testing (06E1184) uncovered the fosse (Wth 3-3.25m) at a number of points when a small flint blade was recovered on the surface as well as evidence of activity all around the monuemtn (WX020-033002-) (McLoughlin 2007a, 4-5).
