Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cloneygowny, Youghal is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cloneygowny, Youghal, County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a south-facing slope in undulating pastureland and contains a circular area 28m across. An earthen bank 3.5m wide, 1.2m high inside and 1.4m high outside, encloses the area. The bank has been reduced to a scarp downslope to the south because a tree collapsed.
Situated on a S-facing slope in undulating pastureland. Not indicated on 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map and depicted as a small circular enclosure on the 1901-05 ed. A circular area (diam. 28m) enclosed by earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 1.4m) which has been reduced to scarp downslope to S as a result of tree collapse. Conifers grow in the interior which also has evidence of ridge and furrow/lazy-bed cultivation. There is no clear evidence of a fosse or entrance feature. The site may be a tree-ring or a ringfort reused as a tree-ring.
