What is recorded here

Situated on the S-facing slope of a ravine overlooking a river in an upland area. A circular area (diam. 27m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5m; ext. H 1.3m; int. H 0.4m) with slight traces of a shallow external fosse. The natural slope of the ravine to the S offers protection to site. A field fence intersects the bank at W on a N-S axis and there is a possible entrance gap at E. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
