What is recorded here

Cathair Chearnaigh is a vanished ringfort. It stood ninety metres south of the Sullane River, a circular earthwork wide enough for a small household to call home. Ploughs and patience erased it before the twentieth century, leaving only a shadow on an old map. The land keeps its shape in memory even when the soil forgets.
