What is recorded here
No kingdom of fairies exists, but people invented that name because the fort still defies easy explanation. You can stand inside the circle on a clear day and watch ordinary farmland drop away around you. The fort does not ask to be believed. It asks you to remember that human beings did not understand every corner of the world, and they named the unknown instead of pretending it was empty.
Located on top of a small hill in a fairly level landscape. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 60m) defined by two closely-spaced fosse features is visible on aerial photographs (ME042-038_1 to _4) taken in July 2018.
