Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cartroncaran is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartroncaran, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a subcircular grass-covered area measuring 16.5m east-west and 15.2m north-south on a rise above a broad plateau. A scarp 0.9 to 1.25m high defines the perimeter, which shows southern quarrying but lacks a visible entrance or fosse. Rath RO016-055 stands approximately 160m to the west-southwest.
Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a rise on a broad plateau. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 16.5m E-W; 15.2m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.9-1.25m). There is no visible fosse or entrance, but the perimeter is quarried at S. Rath (RO016-055----) is c. 160m to the WSW.
