Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Carrownalassan is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrownalassan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle south-facing slope as a circular grass-covered area measuring thirty-seven metres north-south and thirty-five point three metres east-west. A scarp rising from zero point two to one point one metres defines the perimeter, while a northeast-southwest drystone wall overlays the eastern edge. A moated site stands forty metres to the northeast and a cashel appears one hundred and fifty metres to the south-southwest.

On a gentle S-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 37m N-S; 35.3m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.2m at E to 1.1m at W). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance but it is overlain by a NNW-SSE drystone wall towards the perimeter at E. Moated site (RO028-216001-) is c. 40m to the NE, and cashel (RO035-117----) is c. 150m to the SSW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
