What is recorded here
Marianne and the assistant are still defining the work. The caller wants to identify the exact place, judge the evidence and return a visible article. That is the whole task.
On a low ridge on otherwise level ground. This is the SE example of two, oval-shaped, conjoined enclosures (see also LF015-069001-) with the designation 'Forts' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Not visible at ground level.
