Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Boytonrath is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Boytonrath, County Tipperary, Ireland. The outer bank is 11.5 metres wide and the outer fosse is 6.25 metres wide. Both features are visible from the northeast to the east-northeast. The main circular area is about 36 metres from north to south and about 44 metres from east to west.

In pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. Slight visible surface trace of circular area (dims. c. 36m N-S; c. 44m E-W) defined by levelled scarp (Wth 4.5m; H 0.5m) best defined NW-N-E-SE. Traces of external fosse (Wth 9.5m; D 0.5m) NE-E-SE. Outer bank (Wth 11.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.3m) and outer fosse (Wth 6.25; D 0.3m) visible NE-ENE. Field boundary enclosing monument to S, W and N sides on 1905 OS 6-inch map removed, surviving as curvilinear depression (Wth c. 1.5-2m; D 0.2m). Interior is in long grass and tends downslope to S with prevalent slope. Possible sillage-pit/fodder area has been inserted into NW area consisting of sunken area (dims. 12m N-S; 6m E-W) defined by concrete block retaining wall to E and W and open to N and S; slightly sunken trackway (Wth c. 3.5m; L c. 30m) extends (long axis N-S) from S side. Ringfort (TS068-054----) c. 38m to N, ringfort (TS068-057----) c. 260m to ESE and ringfort (TS068-056----) is c. 335m to SSW. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
