Fairy fort in Boolteenagh, County Cork: a 41m earthen ring on a drumlin, with a 2.15m bank, shallow outside ditch, and a causeway through an 1.8m gap. It is the kind of place people once called fairy because it looked hidden, complete, and older than ordinary ownership. A chambered tomb may lie beneath the grass, waiting for someone brave enough to stop calling it magic and begin asking it what it remembers.

In pasture, atop drumlin. Circular area (41m N-S; 41m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.15m); external fosse (D 0.7m). Gap in bank (Wth 1.8m), with causeway. Possible Man-made underground passage (CO118-081---) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
