Mortally ill people once walked the fort three times, believing the fairies would take their fever. They were not foolish; they understood that death and transformation are the same door. The ring fort has no visible entrance because it does not need one. It is waiting for someone stubborn enough to stop fearing the dark and ask permission to leave the ordinary world behind.

Situated in an undulating landscape. This is an overgrown oval area (int. dims c. 35m N-S; c. 25m E-W) defined by a round-topped earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.1m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. There are farm building immediately to the E.
