What is recorded here
Situated on a prominent natural rise in gently undulating grassland, with good views in all directions. A raised circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 34m N-S; 36m E-W) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank. The bank is best preserved at N; elsewhere it has been almost completely levelled. The interior is uneven, with a slight depression in the SW quadrant. In the SE quadrant also is a substantial earth and stone bank (L 10m; Wth 4.2m; H 0.75m) extending E-W, curving slightly to N at its E end. The perimeter of the monument has been quarried into at W & SE.
