Fairy fort in Ballyogaha West is a circular earthen ringfort on a steep pasture slope, with a 1.2m bank, three gaps, and a hidden underground passage marked beside its interior. It stands above a sharp incline, facing east to northwest, as if built to watch the land rather than hide from it. The missing passage and broken bank suggest people once moved through the fort in ways the surface no longer shows.

In pasture on SSW-facing slope, just above steep incline. Good view E->NNW. Circular raised area (30m N-S; 29.6m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.2m) atop low scarp (H 0.4m). Gaps in bank from ENE->ESE, to SW and to NW. Interior slopes gradually to SSW. Man-made underground passage (CO054-033002-) marked to W of interior on 1936 OS 6-inch map; no visible surface trace. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy folk or ancient pagan rituals, and they were often avoided due to their supposed supernatural significance.
