Man-made underground passage in Caherdesert — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

No visible surface trace in Caherdesert, yet beneath the levelled ringfort three circular cells still breathe through narrow creepways. One stone-built chamber wears capstones like a lid, another earth-cut vault curves overhead, and a blocked passage waits at the west side. McCarthy mapped the joints in 1977, but the south creepway remains unexplored, keeping the place half-remembered and slightly dangerous.

In levelled ringfort (CO054-032001-). Investigated by McCarthy (1977, 178-81). Three circular cells joined by creepways. Cell 1 (L 1.4m; Wth1.8m; H 1.3m) stone-built, roofed with capstones. Cell 2 (L 1.9m; Wth1.6m; H 1m) entered via lintelled ope and creepway from NE side of Cell 1, earth-cut, ceiling barrel-vaulted. Second creepway at W side of Cell 1 to third cell, now blocked. Third creepway at S side of Cell 1, not explored. Upright pillar (H 0.4m) at NW side of Cell 1, which McCarthy suggests acted as entrance jamb for creepway running W. No visible surface trace.
