Fairy fort in Ballynora, County Cork: a 33-metre earthen ring on a south-facing pasture slope, with two gaps, a shallow fosse, overgrown interior and a man-made underground passage in the southwest quadrant. People may have lived, herded or hidden there before the name changed; the passage still invites more than the bank does.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (33m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.8m; ext. H 2m) with shallow external fosse S->W. Gap in bank to N (Wth 1.8m) and S (Wth 1.4m). Interior partially overgrown. Man-made underground passage (CO085-03602-) in SW quadrant. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
