Fairy fort in Ballymore, County Longford: a 26 m circular rath on a low pasture rise, with earth-and-stone bank, scarp, fosse and outer bank, its ENE break perhaps the true entrance. People may have lived there, herded there, or kept distance from the fairies said to own such rings. The field boundary now swallows one edge, yet the circle still reads like a room built for watching weather, neighbours, or the dark.

On a low rise in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 26m) enclosed from NW-E-WSW by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 5-5.4m; H 0.3-0.95m) and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 1.9m)' with an external fosse (Wth 5.9-6.2m; D 0.4-0.95m) and a low outer bank (Wth 1.8-4m; H 0.4-1m), which has been modified and incorporated into a field boundary.
