Fairy fort, Ballymacshane, deerpark (ardagh By.): a circular earthen ring, twenty-seven metres across, on a west-facing slope where pasture still moves in the light. Its low scarp barely rises above the ground, yet the shape remains clear enough to suggest a doorway, a courtyard, and a life lived inside a small made world. The southern half has been levelled and the entrance has disappeared, but the circle still resists forgetting.

On a gentle W-facing slope in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 27m) defined by a low scarp (H 0.2m). A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a fosse at the base of the scarp, which has since been infilled. The S half of the rath has been levelled. The original entrance is not recognisable.
