What is recorded here

Five close-set rings mark the gentle slope at Ballylusky, and this is the southernmost. A low bank encloses a small circular space, yet the northern field boundary still curves to respect its line. That much is visible. What is missing is the life that shaped the bank, named the rings and kept them separate in memory.

In pasture, on a gentle E-facing slope. A circular area (23m E-W; 21m N-S) enclosed by a low bank (Wth 2.3m; int. H 0.15-0.3m; ext. H 0.36-0.44m). The field boundary to the N curves to respect the line of the possible rath. This is the most southerly of five close-set possible raths (CO045-130001-, CO045-130002-, CO045-130003-, CO045-130004-) aligned roughly N-S. It is marked with the symbol for 'Danish Fort' on Bateman map 50, 1716-17. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
