Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballyhoolahan Middle stands in pasture on a south-facing slope, one of five ringforts spread across adjoining fields. Bowman measured its thirty-five-yard rampart at four feet high in 1934, but ploughs have since flattened most of the bank to a three-decimeter rise. The ground still marks the circle through soil and shadow, preserving the shape of a residence that human hands built and time has half-erased.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842, 1904 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; circular area (c. 35m E-W) defined by low rise (H 0.3m) N->W; low scarp elsewhere. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank and external fosse in aerial photograph (CASAP). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 492) as single-ramparted fort (diam. 35yd; bank H c. 4ft) on H. O'Connor's land, with interior higher than outside field level.
