Fairy fort in Ballygroman Lower is a broken earthen ring on a narrow gravel ridge, quaried until its edge vanished into the land. What remains measures forty-two metres across, with a shallow bank and a dark ditch clinging to the southwest like a forgotten boundary. People may have lived inside, loved inside, bled inside, or simply named the shape after leaving it empty. The land keeps the circle even when human memory stops drawing it.

In tillage, at N end of narrow gravel ridge. Circular raised area (diam. 42m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.8m) and external fosse (D 1.2m) along SW quadrant; edge truncated elsewhere due to quarrying especially to N and E where it extends into interior.
