What is recorded here

Ballyfadeen More in County Cork once held a circular earthen fort about thirty metres across on a northeast-facing slope. The 1842 Ordnance Survey mapped it as a distinct hachured enclosure, but ploughing or deliberate levelling has erased every visible trace. It may have been a farmstead defensible enough to keep out raids, or a boundary marker for pasture and kin. The land has taken back what the survey recorded.
