Fairy fort in Ballyfadeen More, County Cork: a 30m earthen ring with a 2.2m bank, western ditch and eastern gap, still holding its shape in pasture. The parallel banks near the entrance may mark a lost limekiln, suggesting the fort served living people as well as legend. Under that ordinary function, the fairy name remains plausible: borders, holes and made heat are the kind of details stories prefer.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (30m N-S; c. 30m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 2.2m); external fosse (D 0.8m) SSW->W. Gap (Wth 5m) in bank to E. Depression in bank, to S of entrance, defined by two parallel linear banks (max. L 8m) 8.5m apart which extend into field at right angles to bank; possible remains of limekiln.
