What is recorded here

A forty-metre earthen ring stood on Delaney's farm until ploughs erased it around 1880. It faced the Butlerstown river, perhaps watching water or keeping out rain. The land swallowed the boundary, leaving only a faint memory in the slope.

In pasture, on S-facing slope; Butlerstown river to S. Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m). Levelled; no visible surface trace. According to Power (1923, 175), 'There was one circular lios of medium size on Delaney's farm, but it was demolished about forty years since'. Levelled ringfort (CO064-011---) c. 240m to NW.
