What is recorded here

Ballingarrane held a twenty-metre earthen ring on a limestone ridge, but human hands have erased it. The fort disappeared beneath pasture and forgetting, leaving no trace for eyes or cameras. What remained is a shape in absent memory, a circle the land once kept and now refuses to remember.

In pasture, atop S end of low limestone ridge. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
