Magic is not the point. The clay is the point. A circle of earth, shallow but unbroken, holds the edge of human thought. Everything inside belongs to memory. Everything outside belongs to forgetfulness. The fort does not need to be believed. It needs to be seen for what it is: a boundary made visible.

In level pasture, at base of a slight NW-facing slope. Circular area (29m N-S; 27m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.35m) with external fosse (D 0.2m; Wth 2.3m). A fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ardnacrohy is a circular early-medieval defensive or domestic site, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD. Local tradition associates such forts with fairy folk or other supernatural beings, and they were often avoided or treated with reverence by rural communities.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
