Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ardakillin is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ardakillin, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the west end of a low east-west drumlin ridge and measures 37 metres east-west by 33 metres north-south. An earthen bank and outer fosse define the south-west perimeter, while an eleven-metre east gap and a north-south field bank divide the grass-covered area.
At the W end of a low E-W drumlin ridge. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 37m E-W; 33m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5-3.5m; int. H 0.3-0.4m; ext. H 1m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 6-7m; Wth of base 2.5-3m; D 0.2-0.3m) S-W, and a scarp (H 0.1m generally to 7m at N) elsewhere. There is a gap (Wth 11m) in the perimeter at E and the monument is bisected by a NNW-SSE field bank and ditches. Rath (RO028-096----) is c. 30m to the E.
