What is recorded here

Aghlisk holds a broken ring of earth and stone on a south-facing slope, not a fairy castle at all. Its two banks and central ditch still mark a human home, farm or refuge, though much of the circle has vanished under soil and time. The fairies belong only to the name people later gave the shape.

On a S-facing slope overlooking marshy land. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 51m, E-W 48m) defined by two banks of earth and stone and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is present from E to S, and a scarp forms the enclosing element from NE to E and from SW toWNW; no visible surface trace survives elsewhere. A gap at E could be original. A field fence has been built on the line of the outer bank from NW to E. There is a Man-made underground passage (GA029-001001-) within the interior.
