Excavation near a man-made underground passage in County Dublin revealed a hearth, three postholes, a bivallate ringfort and part of a sub-rectangular field system dated to the 7th-10th centuries AD. The site also holds traces of prehistoric, medieval and post-medieval activity. What lived there across centuries is no longer certain, but the layering suggests a place repeatedly returned to, shaped and remembered.

In the vicinity of a Man-made underground passage (DU005-052001-) excavations in 2005 revealed a hearth and three postholes were uncovered (05E0098). Further investigations uncovered a bivallate ringfort (DU005-115) and associated sub-rectangular field system, part of which was excavated and dated 7th-10th centuries AD (Kavanagh, 2011). prehistoric, medieval and post-medieval activity also recorded in the vcinity.
