Excavated (E3491) during 2005 by T. Breen as part of Site 27 at Raheenagurren West, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. Situated on a gentle W-facing slope, S of a marl-pit that is probably post-medieval. Concentrations of post-holes, sometimes with metalled surfaces, and a hearth are associated with sherds of Beaker pottery and one Neolithic sherd. In a different area four pits (dims. c. 1.7m x 0.7m) produced a blue glass bead. The rath (WX012-003----) is c. 80m to the NW, the fulacht fia (WX012-034008-) is c. 90m to the NW, and the kilns (WX012-034006-) are c. 30m to the S.
