Drogheda Grammar School, County Louth: pre-development excavation in 1998 exposed an 18m north-south cobbled pathway, 1.9m wide, immediately east of a medieval building and lying directly on natural boulder clay. Before concrete, traffic and forgetting, that narrow ribbon cut through the town’s daily life: scholars, servants, carts or curious children may have worn its edges smooth. Measurement makes the path small; imagination returns it whole, a temporary bridge between rooms, markets and memory.

A cobbled pathway discovered during pre-development excavation at the site of the former Drogheda Grammar School in 1998 (Excavation Licence No. 98E0544). Situated immediately to the E of a medieval building (LH024-041069-). It measured 18m (N-S) and was 1.9m in Wth. It lay directly over the natural boulder clay.
