What is recorded here

Situated in a low-lying, level landscape. Archaeological monitoring (06E0996) recorded one roasting pit (dims. 1m x 0.7m; D 0.43m) filled with silts containing burnt stone, animal bone and flecks of charcoal, which produced a C14 date of 783-992 cal. AD. A second pit (dims. 2.2m x 1.4m; D 0.45m) containing charcoal inclusions was recorded c. 60m to the SW. (Moloney 2009) Moloney, C.
