Spread of charcoal-stained soil (diam. 0.3m) discovered in 1986 during construction of Cork-Dublin gas pipeline (Cleary et al. 1987, 8). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
