Barnageeragh in County Dublin hides a Bronze Age roundhouse, burial, burnt mound and later ringfort beneath ordinary ground. Archaeologists traced seven postholes around a central hearth, recovered tentative Bronze Age pottery and flint, and identified nearby souterrains within the ringfort. The layering suggests people kept returning to the same landscape across centuries, building, heating water, burying the dead and storing or sheltering in stone-lined passages long after the first timber frame rotted away.

Pre-development excavations in 2003 revealed a substanatiial number of medieval or early medieval pits, gulleys and ditches. The features may be of agricultural origin.
