Found in 1986 during construction of Bruff-Mallow gas pipeline (Gowen 1988, 179; pers. comm. M. Gowen). Spread of charcoal-flecked ash; two pits, separated by oxidised, charcoal-flecked clay, seen in section, measuring L 0.8m; D 0.3m; L 1.5m; D 0.35m. Circular house (11999) and occupation site (13848) c. 500m to N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
