Discovered in 1986 during construction of Bruff-Mallow gas pipeline (Gowen 1988, 179, site 1/23/3; pers. comm. M. Gowen). Several features revealed in area 4m x 3m: hearth (0.4m x 0.4m; D 0.05m) filled with charcoal-rich soil; pit (0.8m x 0.5m; D 0.18m) filled with charcoal-rich clay; two post-holes (diam. 0.18m; D 0.18m: diam. 0.2m; D 0.13m) just W of hearth.
