First identified by Melanie McQuade in centre-line testing (03E1795) on the route of the Carrickphierish Road at the NW edge of Waterford City (McQuade, 2006a), and subsequently excavated (03E1880) by the same excavator. A subrectangular pit (dims. 2.45m NW-SE; 0.7m NE-SW; D 0.1m) was 8m to the S of a second subrectangular pit (dims. 2m x 1.2m; D 0.2m) filled with burnt mound material. (McQuade 2006c) McQuade, M.
