What is recorded here
Detached three-bay two-storey former house, built c.1880, with Tuscan portico, now in use as school offices. Canted bay window to the south-east gable. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Roughcast rendered walls with quoins, string courses and eaves platbands. Segmental-arched window openings with timber sash windows, rendered lugged-and-kneed surrounds and keystones. Segmental-arched door opening with timber panelled door, plain fanlight and sidelights. Four-bay extension to east.
The regular form of this building is enlivened by the fine Tuscan portico, which was clearly executed by skilled craftsmen. The form of the building is articulated by the architraves, string courses, eaves platbands and quoins.
