What is recorded here
Located on a level low-lying landscape. Aerial photograph (GB.AM.32) shows the cropmark of a large circular enclosure (diam. c. 70m) defined by a fosse with an entrance at E. The kink in the modern field boundary respects the southern side of the enclosure. This has been plough-levelled, and it does not appear on any other aerial images. Archaeological testing (19E0576) by L. Coen in the field immediately to the SW on the other side of a wide E-W land drain produced no related material (excavations.ie 2019:262).
