Enclosure is an enclosure, large enclosure in Carrigeenagappul (roscommon By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a slight basin on a broad plateau, forming a circular grass-covered area roughly sixty-nine metres across. A slight earthen bank or scarp defines part of the perimeter, while a shallow fosse marks the southern edge. A field bank bisects the site, and a thirteen-metre entrance opens at the south.
Visible on aerial photograph (OS: 4/ 2025), and situated in a slight basin on a broad plateau. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 69m NE-SW; 64m NW-SE) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 2m at S to 5m at NW; H 0.2m) or a scarp (H 0.2m) SE-NW, with a slight fosse (Wth of top 4m; Wth of base 1.5m; int. D 0.4m; ext. D 0.2m) SSE-S. It is bisected by a NW-SE field bank and can hardly be traced SW of this feature. There is a slightly sunken reed-covered area (diam. 32m NW-SE; D 0.2m) inside the perimeter at S, and the perimeter has an entrance (Wth 13m) at S.
