Located on a gentle S-facing slope c. 50m NE of rath (RO008-023----). Archaeolgical excavation (10E0301) as part of the N5 Ballaghaderreen bypass uncovered part of an enclosure in an L-shaped ditch (Wth 2.2m; D 0.75m) running S (L 15m plus) and turning E (L 15m) through a rounded corner to a terminus. Ash from the ditch produced a calibrated C14 date of AD 1023-1155. An element of the field system (RO008-023001-) connects the enclosure to the rath. (Kyle and Delaney 2011a; Delany et al. 2016, 86)
