Enclosure in Timoney Hills — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Situated on a SE-facing slope in undulating hilly terrain. The field is heavily overgrown with gorse, bracken and brambles and the ground level drops to the SE immediately beyond the NE-SW field boundary E of the site. Not indicated on the 1st (1840) or the 1904 ed. OS 6-inch maps. Stout (1984, 81) describes the site as a slightly hollow oval area (diam. 29m) enclosed by a denuded bank (Wth 6m; H 0.4m) with no visible evidence of an outer fosse or entrance feature. Site not located due to dense cover of vegetation. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
