What is recorded here

In level pasture, on very gradual NE-facing slope, in SE corner of field. Raised circular area (dims. c. 16m N-S; c. 18m E-W) defined by earthen scarp (Wth 2.1m; H 0.7m). Traces of external fosse (Wth 5.7m; D 0.35m) SW-N-SE and in-filled SE-S-SW. Possible causewayed entrance (Wth c. 6m) across fosse at NE. Traces of outer bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.3m) NW-N-E-SE. Ring-barrow possible (TS068-036----) c. 80m to NNE. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
