What is recorded here

In pasture, on break in SE-facing slope, above sharp fall of ground down to stream. Depicted as hachured roughly oval enclosure (c. 40m NNE-SSW; c. 25m ESE-WNW) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, with field boundary replacing or truncating site to NW and NNE; hachured subrectangular enclosure on 1905 and 1935 OS 6-inch maps, with field boundary to NNE. Levelled; field boundary remains to NNE; undulations visible in area of site. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
